OUR PHILOSOPHY

UlStO focuses on sustainability and fairness combined with clear design and practical products. That's why we produce in our local area and source all materials as locally as possible.

Local production has several advantages. For this reason, we have decided on the production site in Saxony. As a company based in Dresden, we would like to support the local economy. For this reason our products are manufactured in a region with a long textile tradition: the Erzgebirge. It can be reached within approx. 1 hour driving time. So we are in direct contact with the factory and know the local people and working conditions very well. With the help of this manufacturer, we can produce small and large quantities without any problems, without having to compromise on quality and rapid implementation. Furthermore a seamstress supports us in a small village near Dresden. She helps us with the implementation of new products and is only half an hour away by car. We also attach great importance to regionality when selecting our materials. Therefore our cords & zippers are produced in Germany. The felt from recycled plastic bottles comes from Italy and the cork from Portugal.
